On September 28 in Kyiv will host the charity run Race for the Cure 2025. The goal of this year’s event is to raise ₴2.5 million to support women undergoing treatment for breast cancer. The initiative is organized by Inspiration Family, a foundation that provides assistance to adult cancer patients.
“Thanks to the participation of women who have already completed or are currently undergoing treatment, a support community is formed, reminding us that no one should face a cancer diagnosis alone,” – reports Humanitarian Media Hub, citing Tykyiv.com.
The race offers several distances — from 2 to 10 kilometers — as well as a Nordic walking option. Participants will compete not only for medals but also for a symbolic victory over illness. A special feature of the event is the presence of Women in Pink — women wearing pink shirts who have personal experience with breast cancer treatment. Their presence is more than symbolic; it’s a living message of solidarity and hope for those still in treatment.
Beyond the athletic component, the event will feature a vibrant program including warm-up sessions, rest and recovery zones, temporary tattoos, a pink costume contest, and gifts from partners. The format allows for both offline participation in Kyiv and online involvement from anywhere in Ukraine or abroad. Women currently undergoing active treatment can join the run free of charge.
The race begins at 10:00 at 1 Akademika Glushkova Avenue. Participation fee is ₴1000. Registration is available on the official Race for the Cure website.
