Over $1,000,000 in Funding: How Ukrainian Women Are Being Encouraged to Launch Manufacturing Businesses

Ukraine is currently accepting applications for the second phase of the “STVORUI!” grant program — an initiative designed to support women entrepreneurs who are building businesses in manufacturing and cultural industries. The program prioritizes projects that produce tangible goods rather than just ideas or services.

“The program remains focused on supporting cultural sector projects that include a production component and result in a physical product,” – reports Humanitarian Media Hub, citing delo.ua.

The total budget for this phase exceeds $1,000,000, with individual grants of up to $15,000 available. Applications are open until October 31, 2025. Eligible participants are women who own more than 50% of a business that has been registered for over a year and is actively operating in manufacturing, processing, or cultural production.

“STVORUI!” was launched in 2024 by Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture in partnership with the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund. The program is implemented by the KSE Foundation with support from the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, in collaboration with the “Avrora” retail chain and Oschadbank.

Applications are evaluated based on business plans, financial stability, and the applicant’s professional reputation. Oschadbank conducts internal reviews and provides recommendations for grant allocation.

The program covers a wide range of business activities — from furniture and clothing production to audio and video content creation. It opens up opportunities for women who aim not only to run a business but to create products with real value and impact.
