In just two quarters and part of the third in 2025, Ukraine registered 383 new legal entities operating in the education sector. This figure nearly matches the total for all of 2024, indicating a significant acceleration in the establishment of educational institutions, according to analysts at Youcontrol.market.
“New openings far outpace closures,” the researchers report.
Most of the new institutions are being launched in major cities. Kyiv remains the absolute leader, with over 6,000 educational providers. It is followed by Dnipropetrovsk region with 2.9 thousand, Lviv region with 2.8 thousand, Odesa region with 2.5 thousand, and Kharkiv region with 2.3 thousand.
In financial terms, the private education sector is also showing steady growth. Notable institutions include MAUP (Kyiv), with ₴653.2 million, and the online school “Optima,” with ₴401.9 million.
