The first mobile rehabilitation module equipped with an ergonomic kitchen in Ukraine began operating in Bohuslav, Kyiv Oblast. The project was implemented with the support of PrivatBank, Visa, the Mindy Charitable Foundation, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, and in partnership with the NGO Barrier-Free and the Coordination Centre for Mental Health under the Cabinet of Ministers as part of the mental health programme ‘How are you?’ — an initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska.

The module was created for patients recovering from strokes, injuries or limb amputations. Here, they can receive assistance with physical rehabilitation, occupational therapy, speech recovery and psychological support. Thanks to the ergonomic kitchen, patients will be able to practise everyday skills, such as cooking and using prostheses.
“PrivatBank helps bring rehabilitation services closer to communities, especially in remote areas. Such modules can be quickly installed in locations that do not require lengthy preparation. This makes quality rehabilitation more accessible to those who need it. We strive to support the state and communities, as well as to create a barrier-free environment,” said Dmytro Musienko, member of the PrivatBank board.
This is the eighth mobile rehabilitation module in Ukraine, but the first to be equipped with an occupational therapy kitchen.
