The Eastern Europe Foundation and EU has launched a civic tech project competition with grants of up to €35,000

Applications for Act to Drive Change, a competition, and acceleration programme for civic tech initiatives aimed at solving social challenges and accelerating Ukraine’s integration into the EU, will be accepted until 10 October 2025. Ten winners will be selected based on the results of the selection process. Each will receive up to €35,000 in funding to implement their project over a maximum of nine months.

Ukrainian public and charitable organisations, as well as associations of local authorities with non-profit status, are eligible to participate. Priority solutions include mobile applications, chatbots, online platforms, interactive websites or dashboards that increase government transparency, simplify interaction with citizens or promote social cohesion and European integration.

The competition process consists of several stages: an ideathon to refine ideas with experts, a two-month acceleration programme for up to 20 teams, and a Demo Day, where finalists will present their solutions and announce the 10 winners. The winning teams will receive mentoring support and grant funding to implement their projects.
