The government has included an increase in the minimum wage in the draft state budget for 2026. According to the document, the minimum wage is proposed to be increased from 8,000 hryvnia to 8,647 hryvnia.
This increase will also affect the average salary at which companies can reserve employees. Currently, reservations are possible if the average salary is at least 2.5 times the minimum wage, i.e. about 20,000 hryvnias.
If the minimum wage is increased to 8,647 hryvnias, the average wage for booking must be at least 21,617.5 hryvnias.
Bill No. 14000 has already been registered in the Verkhovna Rada. If it is adopted, the new rules will come into force next year.
