Ukrainian families who have received state assistance through the “School Package” program on their Diia.PrivatBank cards are primarily using the funds for essential back-to-school needs. According to the bank, the largest share of expenses goes toward children’s clothing and school supplies.
Dmytro Musiienko, a member of PrivatBank’s management board for retail business, reported that 64% of all spending is directed to children’s clothing. About 32% of the funds are spent on school supplies, while another 4% goes toward children’s footwear.
As of today, more than 191,000 Ukrainians have opened special accounts at PrivatBank to receive the assistance, with over 101,000 already receiving payments totaling 505 million hryvnias. In total, the bank has issued 893,000 multi-account digital Diia cards for participation in various state programs.
Applications for the one-time payment of 5,000 hryvnias can be submitted through the Diia app until November 15, 2025. One of the parents or a legal guardian of a child enrolled in the first grade for the new school year is eligible to receive the funds.
In addition to state support, parents can benefit from extra bonuses. PrivatBank, in partnership with Mastercard, offers 3% cashback on all expenses within the program. To activate the cashback, cardholders must enable the offer in the “Pryvit” loyalty program via the Privat24 app.
