On Monday, 15 September, Lisbon will host the Match of Legends, a charity event that will bring together world football stars and aims to raise over €1 million for international humanitarian organisations. Among those receiving support is the Ukrainian Red Cross.
The World Legends team will be joined by undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk. He will play alongside football stars such as Fabio Cannavaro, Javier Zanetti and Alessandro Del Piero.
The funds raised will help the Ukrainian Red Cross continue its emergency response work, carry out evacuation measures, rebuild homes and provide psychosocial support to those affected by the war.
