The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution changing the procedure for obtaining a CE category driving licence. From now on, no mandatory one-year experience of driving a basic category vehicle is required to drive a goods vehicle with a trailer.
The decision was prepared by the Ministry of Economy and is intended to expand opportunities for attracting new drivers. At the same time, the requirements for professional training, education and examinations remain unchanged.
The government emphasises that the simplification will facilitate access to the profession for young people and women, strengthen the state’s logistics capacity and support the road transport industry. In addition, the changes will help to optimise training programmes in vocational education institutions and training centres.
The adopted document also harmonises national legislation in the field of road transport with European Union law.
