Students whose parents participated in the defence of Ukraine will be able to receive financial support for their studies for the 2024/2025 academic year in a convenient digital format. To do so, they must confirm their certificate in the Diia app without additional references or visits to institutions.
More than 13,000 students under the age of 23 who are enrolled in the 1st to 3rd years of bachelor’s and master’s programmes, as well as in vocational and technical colleges, are eligible for assistance. The certificate can be obtained by children of military personnel and veterans who:
- were killed or died as a result of service;
- have a disability as a result of war;
- are combatants;
- are missing under special circumstances;
- are in captivity;
- were injured as participants in the Revolution of Dignity.
Certificates will be issued in stages. If the notification has not yet appeared in the application, students are advised to contact their educational institution to enter their status in the EDEBO.
