Preparations are also underway for the All-Ukrainian Veterans Games, which will take place on 28–30 November in Kyiv. Participants will compete in crossfit, table tennis, sitting volleyball and other sports. Separately, there is the Veterans League, a series of competitions in non-Olympic disciplines that promotes sports among veterans and brings their families together.

International initiatives are represented by the Strong Spirit Games and the Invictus Games, which help wounded and injured military personnel in their rehabilitation and selection for world tournaments.

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs has also introduced a Unified Calendar of Sporting Events, which brings together key events for war veterans.
