On the morning of 19 August, Ukraine saw increased activity among applicants in the system for submitting documents to higher and vocational pre-higher education institutions. In total, over 443,000 electronic accounts were created.
The largest number of accounts were opened by applicants with a complete secondary education — over 214,000. Applicants after 9th grade registered almost 80,000 accounts. More than 12,000 holders of skilled worker diplomas and almost 37,500 people with junior bachelor’s, junior specialist or professional junior bachelor’s degrees also registered.
Among those planning to obtain a bachelor’s degree, over 95,000 accounts were created. Almost 3,800 accounts were registered for specialist and master’s degrees.
In total, over 1.2 million applications were submitted to educational institutions. Among them, almost 118,000 relate to admission to master’s programmes. Experts note that these figures remain stable and demonstrate young people’s interest in continuing their education at various levels.
