The Ministry of Education and Science has denied information from social media that more than 100,000 of this year’s 11th grade graduates have left Ukraine.
According to the Institute of Educational Analytics, 236,663 people completed their secondary education in 2025. A total of 317,079 participants, including graduates from previous years, registered to take the national multi-subject test (NMT).
The Ministry of Education and Science noted that demand for admission to Ukrainian universities is growing: the number of people registered for the test increased by 2.7% compared to last year. In fact, more than 289,000 applicants took part in the NMT, and 250,482 of them passed the threshold in all four subjects.
In addition, 2,414 participants received 200 points in one or more subjects. Among them, 91% have already received recommendations for admission to domestic higher education institutions.
The ministry emphasised that these data indicate that the majority of applicants remain to study in Ukraine.
