Forced evacuation of families with children has begun in Donetsk region

In Donetsk region, the mandatory evacuation of families with children from 14 settlements has begun due to the worsening security situation. At the time the decision was made, there were about 109 children there.

This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and the head of the regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin. The decision was made at a meeting of the regional commission on technological and environmental safety and emergencies.

The forced evacuation will cover the village of Yarova and the villages of Brusivka, Vovchiy Yar, Derylove, Dibrova, Zakytne, Kaleniki, Koroviy Yar, Kryva Luka, Krymky, Lozove, Ozerne, Oleksandrivka, Serednie, Sosnove, Staryi Karavan, Rubtsi, Shchurove, and Yats’kivka in the Lyman community.

Local authorities and structural units of the Regional State Administration have been instructed to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to promptly organize the transportation of families and provide them with adequate living conditions in safer regions. It is emphasized that staying in the controlled territory of Donetsk region is still associated with high risks. Residents are advised not to delay their departure and to ensure the safety of their children and loved ones.

Earlier it was reported that after the tragedy in the Bilenka colony, the authorities of the Zaporizhzhia region decided to transfer convicts to safer places. The evacuation will affect two colonies and a pre-trial detention center.
