Until August 15, Ukraine is accepting participants for the nationwide tournament “Veterans Games — Esports 2025,” which began on July 15. The event will bring together male and female veterans, as well as defenders with the official status of combatants, to compete in popular esports disciplines.
Organizers note that for many veterans, esports is not just about competition but also a tool for adaptation and reintegration into civilian life. Team-based games, strategic thinking, and concentration help restore social connections, rebuild teamwork skills, and find like-minded individuals.
The tournament program includes training with professional players, team formation, and the opportunity to join the veterans’ esports community. The competition will consist of three stages: online qualification, knockout bracket, and the final in Kyiv. Participants will compete in Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and EA Sports FC (FIFA).
The tournament is held as part of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine’s project “Development of Sports for Veterans” and is included in the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Environment in Ukraine, initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.
