In 2025, more than 1,100 people were evacuated from Donetsk Oblast

In Donetsk Oblast, the mandatory evacuation of civilians from areas where there is a threat to life and health continues. As of August 2025, 1,172 people, including 235 children, have been centrally evacuated from the region. All evacuees have been provided with free accommodation in safe regions of Ukraine.

The evacuation of children from 305 settlements in the region has now been completed. Currently, the forced evacuation of families from six settlements in the Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts is ongoing. Evacuation measures are being carried out in the presence of parents, guardians or other legal representatives.

People are being placed in temporary accommodation in various regions, including Zakarpattia, Volyn, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Rivne, and the capital.

During July, another 235 evacuees received free accommodation, including 62 children and 35 people with reduced mobility. The search for temporary accommodation is carried out in cooperation between regions and with the support of humanitarian organisations.
