The TYTANOVI brand, created based on portraits of wounded veterans, will be presented in Kyiv

A special event will be held in the capital to commemorate the TYTANOVI postage stamp, which is the result of an artistic collaboration aimed at supporting and rehabilitating Ukrainian veterans. The event brings together the worlds of art and the veteran community and is designed to draw attention to the experiences of those who have returned from the front with serious injuries.

The project was initiated by the TYTANOVI Cultural and Art Centre, which is involved in the rehabilitation of veterans through creativity. Ukrposhta, artist Lyusya Ivanova, the Port of Culture public organisation and The Naked Room gallery also joined the project. This collaboration became the basis for the creation of a series of portraits of Ukrainian soldiers who suffered serious injuries but did not lose their zest for life, art, and self-realisation.

These portraits became more than just works of art — they were turned into postage stamps that tell the story of the strength, dignity, and resilience of Ukraine’s new heroes. Each image represents a specific veteran, their story, experience, and path to recovery. Thanks to its artistic approach, the project not only honours the people who defended Ukraine but also promotes their social and psychological adaptation through culture.

The official stamp cancellation event will take place on 4 August at 11:00 a.m. at the Respublika Park shopping centre in Kyiv. Guests will be presented with the original TYTANOVI stamp series and will have the opportunity to talk to veterans, artists and representatives of the initiatives behind this project. The event will be open and friendly, where anyone can join in on an important conversation about experience, art, and support.

The TYTANOVI project once again demonstrates that culture can be a tool for recovery, empathy and a deeper understanding of the reality in which Ukrainian veterans live. It is also a way to preserve the stories of our defenders in the visual memory of the country.
