Following the nighttime attacks by Russian drones and missiles on Odesa and Cherkasy, Ukrainian Red Cross teams are working quickly at the emergency sites to provide first aid to the victims and support the local population.

In Odesa, where the attack destroyed a nine-storey residential building and a market, the URCS Odesa Oblast Rapid Response Team helped evacuate a resident from the damaged building. Four people received first aid, and another 15 sought psychological support. Volunteers also provided water for rescuers and residents.
Humanitarian aid is being distributed at the site, with residents being provided with film to temporarily cover the destroyed windows and roofs. According to the State Emergency Service, evacuation from the damaged building has been completed.
In Cherkasy, where 15 multi-storey buildings, including windows and roofs, were damaged by a missile strike, the team of the Cherkasy Regional Red Cross is providing assistance. Six adults and one child were injured.
Volunteers have set up a mobile aid station to provide first aid and psychological support, as well as to charge mobile devices and drink water or tea. First aid specialists also work there. Together with the rescuers, the volunteers are providing people with foil, OSB boards and tarpaulin for temporary repairs to damaged homes.
The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to be on duty in the area to respond promptly to the needs of residents affected by the hostilities.
