New service in Diya helps veterans receive government services online

The digital service ‘Veteran Pro’ has been launched in Ukraine — a space in the ‘Dія’ app created by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Its goal is to make access to public services for veterans quick, convenient, and barrier-free. The service implements the ‘single window’ principle without queues and paperwork.

Among the available functions are a search for specialists who support war veterans and demobilised persons with the possibility of evaluating their work, information about veteran sports, access to the ‘eOselya’ and ‘eVidnovlennia’ programmes, submission of applications for subsidies, and registration of status as a person with a war-related disability.

The developers note that the functionality of ‘Veteran Pro’ is constantly expanding in line with the needs of the veteran community. To use the service, you need to have the “Dія” app installed, access to the Internet, electronic identification through ‘Dія’, a taxpayer registration number, and an electronic veteran ID.

The project was implemented by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme and other international partners.
