This means that owners of residential or non-residential real estate remaining in temporarily occupied territories can officially declare the loss of control over it. This applies to private houses, apartments, and non-residential premises that are currently impossible to return to or use.
Submitting such a claim is the first step towards receiving compensation in the future, when the compensation mechanism is fully operational.
The application can be submitted online via the Diya portal. To do this, you will need documents confirming your ownership of the property.
