Residents of border areas in Sumy region continue to flee their homes due to daily enemy shelling. Over the past week, nearly 500 people, including 21 children, have left dangerous communities. The evacuation continues, and for many, it is the only way to save their lives and protect their families.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, about 60,000 residents of Sumy region have been forced to leave their communities. This is more than 60% of those subject to evacuation. Most of the evacuees find temporary shelter with relatives or rent accommodation, but for those who need help, the region has prepared accommodation options.
Houses, flats and dormitories have been set up in the region, adapted for both short-term and long-term stays. Local authorities emphasise that it is dangerous to remain in an area under daily shelling and that it is worth taking advantage of the opportunity to evacuate.
