What is the course?

The educational online platform ‘It’s clear!’ is a free resource for representatives of the public sector, state and local authorities, educators, schoolchildren and students. The platform offers video lectures and training materials, forums and tests. The course on European integration was hosted by journalist Marichka Padalko. The course includes 13 lectures with comments from political scientists, educators, journalists, and representatives of the public sector.

‘Let’s remember that the European Union is a community where each country brings its own achievements,’ said Vira Niedzwiedska, Vice President for Strategic Partnerships at the Eastern Europe Foundation. – “What can Ukraine bring there? “In particular, our digital tools, such as Diia, a platform for public petitions, and participatory budgets. By the way, this year Ukraine was ranked first in the e-participation ranking.”

Who is it for?

Vasyl Babych, European integration expert and partnership development manager at EasyBusiness NGO, said: ‘The new course on European integration can help small and medium-sized businesses cooperate with the EU countries, what goods or services to provide, what is the profile of a buyer, for example, in Poland, France, Germany, how it may differ from the Ukrainian one.’

According to Vasyl Babych, Ukraine’s accession to the EU is an ocean of opportunities for business, as it is one of the most competitive markets in the world. It has more than 500 million consumers and high standards of services and goods. “Some communities in the west and centre of Ukraine are already actively cooperating with colleagues from the EU, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and other countries under transport cooperation programmes. They are already interacting, sharing knowledge, showing our best practices and adopting the practices of other countries. But, unfortunately, such communities are still in the minority,” said Vasyl Babych.

Ukrainians often associate the European Union with a high standard of living and opportunities. However, according to the experts of the East Europe Foundation, Ukrainian businesses and communities need the skills of good governance. This is exactly what the course on the platform ‘It’s clear!’ will help with.
