In the town of Trostyanets in Sumy region, the restoration of the town hospital, which was heavily damaged in March 2022 during the occupation of the town by Russian troops, is underway. Due to intense shelling, the hospital’s buildings were destroyed and the medical infrastructure was put out of action. Today, the hospital is gradually returning to stable operation and already serves more than 6,000 patients a year, but to fully provide quality medical services, comfortable, safe and accessible conditions are needed. Construction teams are currently working on creating these conditions.

Currently, active work is underway in the children’s ward, where all concrete work has been completed, including the reinforcement of the main structures. The tiling of all porches has begun, which will not only improve the appearance of the building but also ensure the durability of the coating. At the same time, the façade is being insulated and the basement is being finished, which will improve the energy efficiency of the building in winter. New metal ebbs and flows are being installed on the parapets of the exterior walls to protect them from moisture. In parallel with these works, paving slabs are being laid around the polyclinic and children’s building to make the area more convenient for patients, including those with limited mobility.
In the near future, we plan to install modern lifts on the porches of the polyclinic and children’s department, which will significantly improve access for people with limited mobility. It is also planned to install fences on the retaining walls of the building for the safety of visitors.
