In 2025, the National Multisubjects Test remains the main condition for admission to most Ukrainian higher education institutions. However, not all applicants were able to take part in the main session. Absence at the test without the required documents or due to delay automatically excludes the possibility of taking the NMT during the main session. But all is not lost: there is an opportunity to take part in an additional session scheduled for 14-25 July.
To participate in the additional session, you had to register between 9 and 14 May and submit documents confirming a valid reason for missing the exam – this can be a certificate from a hospital, tickets, certificates from official institutions, or invitations to international competitions or contests. After reviewing the application, the Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment sends an official invitation to the additional session.

If the applicant did not appear for either the main or the additional session and had no objective reasons for doing so, admission to a higher education institution in 2025 may not be available. However, in some cases, universities may offer alternative options for admission, in particular for creative or specialised fields of study, through competitions, interviews or other forms of assessment.
Another option is to pause and prepare for admission in 2026. During this time, you can better prepare for the NMT, take mock tests, collect documents, and avoid the mistakes of the past year.
