On Europe Day in Ukraine, a new grant competition was launched to support initiatives that will help prepare the country for accession to the European Union at the level of local communities. The initiative is being implemented within the framework of the joint programme of the International Renaissance Foundation and the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine — ‘Joining the EU Together’.
The aim of the competition is to strengthen the participation of civil society in the European integration process by raising awareness, developing strategic planning, implementing EU standards and engaging communities in EU programmes. NGOs, charitable foundations and unions with at least two years of experience in implementing projects in relevant areas are invited to apply.
Funding for one project will range from UAH 900,000 to UAH 1.4 million. Project activities must cover at least three to five communities and be carried out exclusively in the territories controlled by Ukraine. Applications will be accepted until 11 June 2025, 15:00 Kyiv time.
