Modern rehabilitation module for war victims opened in Slavutych

A new support space for people affected by the war, a mobile rehabilitation module, has been opened in Slavutych. It is a modern, inclusive design, fully adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. It was created as a place where not only the body but also self-confidence is restored, helping to return to an active life.

The module provides physical and psychological assistance, counselling on education and employment, and accompanies people during prosthetics. The centre operates not as a formal institution but as a living community of support for those in need.

The opening was made possible by the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine and the Government of Japan. The project is implemented as part of the social franchise of the MAINDI Foundation with the support of the Kyiv Regional State Administration. The initiative is also supported by the Coordination Centre for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the NGO Bezbariernist as part of the nationwide mental health programme ‘Are You OK?’ initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.

The Slavutych module became the sixth such facility in Ukraine. And each new centre expands opportunities for thousands of people seeking recovery and a fresh start.
