8 more oblasts join Swedish-Ukrainian recovery project

In April and early May, eight more regions of Ukraine joined the Swedish-Ukrainian project ‘Enhanced Partnership for Sustainable Recovery’ (EPSR).

The project is funded by the Swedish government through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine. The second phase of the project covers not only Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi and Volyn oblasts, but also new regions – Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, and Mykolaiv.

The continuation of the project, which runs until the end of 2026, will focus on supporting internally displaced persons, women, youth, small, and microbusinesses. Special attention will also be paid to the implementation of inclusive and gender-sensitive approaches to local economic development programmes.

The second phase of the project will include a grant competition for NGOs working in partnership with local authorities, businesses and educational institutions.
