More than 100 universities and colleges to be inspected in Ukraine for violations with conscripts

Ukraine has launched large-scale unscheduled inspections of more than 100 higher and vocational education institutions. They were initiated by the State Education Quality Service in cooperation with the military and law enforcement agencies.

During the inspections, experts will analyze admission campaigns and the organization of the educational process to identify and eliminate violations of the law under the martial law regime.

The reason for the inspections was the previous facts of entering inaccurate information into the Unified State Electronic Database on Education. In particular, it was a case of overdue or missing data on male students of military age. Violations were also recorded in the formation of the contingent of applicants for the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education and the conduct of postgraduate research.

The State Education Quality Service emphasizes that such measures are aimed at strengthening control over compliance with the law and preventing possible abuses in the field of education during martial law. Based on the results of the inspections, response measures may be taken as provided for by law, including the possibility of bringing the perpetrators to justice.

At the same time, the government is working to improve the system of registration of students to prevent attempts to evade mobilization through fictitious education.
