UNITED24, the official fundraising platform of the United Nations, has received an anonymous donation of $1 million. The funds will be used for humanitarian demining as part of the Step by Step campaign, which covers three regions of Ukraine. This was reported by UNITED24.
This donation has become one of the largest private contributions to demining since the start of the full-scale invasion. In total, UNITED24 has already raised more than UAH 1.4 billion in this area, of which more than 64% came from the United States.
The funds will be used to clear Vysokopilska hospital in Kherson region, Fenevytske and Makariv forestry in Kyiv region, and Hrakovo village in Kharkiv region, which was 90% mined after de-occupation.
