The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has published for public discussion a draft programme of the Unified Entrance Examination (UEE) in research methodology, which will become mandatory for applicants to postgraduate studies.
The document provides for a clear structure of the test, which will consist of four thematic sections: ‘Science and Research in the Modern World’, ‘General Understanding of the Methodology of Scientific Research’, ‘System of Organisation of Scientific Activity’ and ‘Presentation of Scientific Research’. The greatest emphasis is placed on the methodology, which accounts for 45% of all assignments.

The discussion of the document will last until 1 May. Suggestions and comments can be sent by email. Based on the results, the Ministry of Education and Science plans to publish the results of the feedback analysis on its website no later than two weeks after the end of the discussion.
The initiative is aimed at improving the transparency of the postgraduate admission process and establishing clear requirements for the level of training of applicants.
