605 children died as a result of the war in Ukraine

As of the morning of 25 March 2025, juvenile prosecutors recorded 605 children killed as a result of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine. The total number of injured children exceeded 2444, of whom more than 1839 sustained injuries of varying severity.

The highest number of child casualties was recorded in Donetsk (634), Kharkiv (470), Kherson (202), Dnipro (203), Kyiv (136), Zaporizhzhia (170), Mykolaiv (118) and Sumy (115) regions.

The number of children affected has increased in recent days. On 24 March, 22 children were injured during the shelling of Sumy. It was also reported that a 15-year-old girl who was injured on 17 March during an attack on Pokrovsk in Donetsk region died.

These data are not final as work is underway to clarify them in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
