On the night of 29-30 March 2025, Ukraine will switch to daylight saving time. At 3:00 a.m., clocks will need to be set one hour forward.
This practice is regulated by the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution of 13 May 1996, which stipulates that clocks are reset annually on the last Sunday of March. Most modern electronic devices, such as computers, tablets, smartphones and smartwatches, change time automatically. However, older mobile phones and mechanical watches require manual adjustment.
In July 2024, the Verkhovna Rada passed draft law No. 4201, which provided for the cancellation of seasonal time change and the establishment of permanent winter time. However, this bill has not yet been signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which means that the practice of seasonal time change will continue.
