Cabinet of Ministers allocates UAH 6.3 million to restore Okhmatdyt buildings

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to reallocate UAH 6.3 million to rebuild the buildings of the National Children’s Specialised Hospital ‘Okhmatdyt’. The funds will be used for urgent emergency and conservation work, said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Funding is provided for the toxicology and administrative buildings, which are cultural heritage sites. According to the developed projects, the conservation of these buildings is expected to last for five years.

Shmyhal stressed that the restoration of Okhmatdyt remains one of the government’s key priorities in 2025.

As a reminder, the hospital was damaged in July 2024 as a result of a Russian missile strike. In total, the government has allocated UAH 3.3 billion for projects to rebuild medical facilities in Ukraine, part of which is earmarked for the restoration of Okhmatdyt.
