The organisers of the XIII International Book Arsenal Festival have announced the main theme of this year’s event – ‘Everything between us is translation’. The focus theme was curated by historian Marci Shore and publisher Oksana Forostyna.
The festival’s focus theme explores the boundaries of understanding between cultures and societies, as well as the role of language as a communication tool. In their essays, the curators raise the question of the untranslatability of words and concepts that can reflect the unique features of different languages and cultures.
