From now on, gun owners in Ukraine can store their permit in the Diia app. The new service allows quick access to the document without the need to carry a paper version or a separate electronic extract.
According to Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, the service simplifies document verification, allows ordering an extract from the Unified Register of Weapons and sends notifications when a permit expires.

How to add a permit to Diia?
Users need to update the application, go to the documents tab, select ‘Add document’ and choose ‘Firearms permits’. The service is available to adult citizens who have their weapons registered in the registry and their tax number confirmed.
The service is currently in beta mode, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police, will continue to improve it.
