In 2025, admission to postgraduate studies in Ukraine will be based on the results of the Unified Entrance Examination (UEE) and an additional exam in research methodology. The passing score for each component of the USE is set at 150 points. This applies to two parts of the exam: a foreign language test and a test of general academic competence (TGAC).
A new test for postgraduate students: the Methodology exam
This year, applicants will also take a new exam in research methodology, known as the EPHQ in Philosophy of Science. The passing marks for this exam have not yet been determined, but this information will become available after the approval of the Admission Procedure. How to apply for admission
It is important to note that the results of the EMI 2023-2025 are valid for postgraduate studies. The exam is conducted by the Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment. After successful completion of the EMI and the methodology exam, applicants must pass professional exams at the educational institution. The programmes of professional examinations are published by universities on their official websites.
Applications for postgraduate studies in 2025 are submitted through electronic offices on the EDEBO website. It is important to note that admission to full-time study is possible only on a budget basis.
