This list includes publications that highlight the role of women in history and the modern world, their experience in various fields, including military conflicts. All the books included in the selection were published within the last ten years.

Amelina’s book, published in English by St. Martin’s Press, is dedicated to women who document and witness war. The author tells the story of human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Oleksandra Matviychuk, soldier Yevhenia Podobna, war crimes researcher Kazanova, and librarian Yulia Kakulya-Danyliuk, who kept a diary during the occupation.

A separate chapter is dedicated to the disappearance of Ukrainian writer Volodymyr Vakulenko, who hid his diary in his garden before his abduction. Amelina helped to find these entries and publish them.

The book has received a high rating on Goodreads – 4.54 stars out of 91 ratings, and more than 7,500 users have added it to their reading lists.
