The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is planning to involve artificial intelligence in the examination of school textbooks. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Nadiia Kuzmychova during a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science and Innovation.
According to her, starting next year, Ukraine will significantly update the mechanisms for preparing educational literature for schoolchildren. The changes will affect all stages – from updating the requirements for the content of textbooks to improving the process of their delivery to schools.

One of the key innovations will be the use of artificial intelligence to check whether the textbooks meet the established standards. The Ministry of Education and Science notes that starting in 2026, textbooks will be examined using AI alongside traditional expert analysis. In particular, artificial intelligence algorithms will help identify factual errors, analyse the age-appropriateness of students, and assess the structural logic of the material.
According to experts, the introduction of such technologies can improve the quality of educational literature and make the review process more objective. At the same time, some educators emphasise the need to preserve the human factor, as artificial intelligence is not yet able to completely replace professional content assessment.
