The facility was created on the basis of a university clinic and integrated into the Veteran Development Centre. It is equipped with modern sports and rehabilitation equipment that allows for effective recovery from injuries and illnesses. The centre’s team consists of experienced physical therapists who use scientifically proven rehabilitation techniques.

The support of UNDP and the Government of the Netherlands is aimed at creating a sustainable system of care for veterans that covers not only physical but also psychological and social rehabilitation. The total cost of the initiative, including support for the Veteran Development Centre and partial funding for the Physical Therapy Centre, was $17,616.
The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Ukraine, Alle Dorhout, stressed the importance of physical rehabilitation as the first stage of veterans’ return to active life. UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine Jaco Silier stressed that the centre will become part of a comprehensive community-based support system for veterans, helping them not only to restore their health but also to integrate into society.
