Ukrainian veterans on prostheses take to the catwalk at Ukrainian Fashion Week

Nine amputee veterans were among the models who presented clothes at Ukrainian Fashion Week. They walked in the collection of the menswear brand Andreas Moskin. This is the second show in which Andreas Moskin has involved veterans.

The collection was inspired by the Shotgun Revival. Its main feature is functionality and style. The designers developed adapted suits for people with prostheses. For example, jackets with detachable sleeves and hidden fasteners, trousers with special side fasteners for easy use of prostheses.

‘The participation of veterans in events such as Ukrainian Fashion Week helps to change the public perception of people with prostheses and facilitates their social adaptation,’ commented Natalia Kalmykova, Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
