More than half of Ukrainians spent ‘Winter is Support’ on utilities

Ukrainians spent most of the funds from the Winter eHelp and National Cashback programmes on utilities – 56%. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.

UAH 3.8 billion was spent on utilities. Other popular categories of spending include telecommunications, including mobile communications (UAH 1.4 billion), and catering (UAH 386 million).

The money was also spent on:
Medicines – UAH 189 million
Computer networks and information services – UAH 187 million
Charity – UAH 177 million
Books and other printed materials – UAH 147 million
Rail passenger transportation and public transport – UAH 90 million
Cinemas – 47 million hryvnias
Postal services – UAH 42 million
Cable, satellite and other paid television and radio services – UAH 29 million

The total amount of funds spent for the period from 25 October 2024 to 1 February 2025 is UAH 6.7 billion out of the UAH 9.6 billion received. As of 17 February, 12 million people have applied for UAH 1,000, including almost three million for child benefits.
