The Government of the Slovak Republic has announced 46 scholarships for Ukrainian citizens for the academic year 2025/2026. This became possible thanks to the cooperation programme between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education of Slovakia.

The Slovak side offers:
- 15 scholarships for bachelors and masters for a period of 1 to 10 months;
- 6 scholarships for 5th year students of Uzhhorod National University studying Slovak language and literature (up to 5 months);
- 15 scholarships for postgraduate students, teachers, and researchers for study or research activities (from 1 to 10 months);
- 10 scholarships for the Summer School of Slovak Language and Culture to be held in August 2025.
Documents can be submitted both in paper and electronic form. All applications must be submitted by 1 April 2025 inclusive. Paper documents are accepted at the address of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Kyiv, and electronic documents are sent to the international mail of the Ministry.
A simplified procedure for obtaining a Slovak visa has also been introduced for Ukrainian students and researchers, which will be valid for a period of study of up to one year.
