According to the new rules, medical personnel will be cancelled at the request of the Ministry of Defence and the Medical Forces Command. At the same time, the Ministry of Health will coordinate the process together with healthcare departments, forming lists of required specialists. Heads of medical institutions will submit requests for unbooking through the Diia portal. Once the ‘armour’ is removed, medical workers will be mobilised to the Armed Forces or other military formations to fill the relevant medical positions. Contracts will be concluded for a period of one year.
Health Minister Viktor Liashko noted that decisions on disarmament will be made based on real needs. According to him, currently more than 75% of wounded soldiers are treated in civilian hospitals, which requires the uninterrupted operation of the medical system.
