The first project envisages the allocation of €50 million to provide housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs). This will provide housing for 1,460 Ukrainian families by 2025 on affordable terms.
The second project, HOME: Compensation for Destroyed Housing’ will receive additional funding of €100 million. Around 5,700 Ukrainians, including combatants, people with disabilities and large families, will receive compensation for destroyed housing in the form of certificates for the purchase of new housing.
Deputy Minister of Finance Olha Zykova noted that the housing sector is one of the most affected by the war. The effective implementation of these projects will help provide the necessary support to citizens whose homes were destroyed or damaged, as well as to those who were forced to leave their homes.
