On 22 January 2025, on the Day of Unity of Ukraine, the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Austria was officially founded at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Austria. This structure has become a platform for uniting 12 Ukrainian NGOs from different cities of the country, including Vienna, Linz, Graz, Salzburg, and Innsbruck.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Austria Vasyl Khymynets and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa spoke at the event. In their speeches, they emphasised the importance of unity and active participation of Ukrainians in Austrian public life.
The establishment of the Association opens up new opportunities to represent and protect the interests of the Ukrainian community in Austria. It also contributes to the preservation of cultural identity and the implementation of joint projects that will help strengthen cooperation between the Ukrainian community and Austrian society.
The Embassy of Ukraine emphasised its readiness to support the newly established Association, as well as all Ukrainian organisations operating in Austria.
