UN calls for $3.32 billion for Ukraine’s humanitarian needs

As the fourth year of the full-scale war in Ukraine approaches, the UN and partners have presented two plans – the 2025 Humanitarian Needs and Response and the Refugee Response – for Ukraine. The UN called for $3.32 billion to support 8.2 million people affected by the crisis in Ukraine and beyond.

‘I am inspired by the resilience of the Ukrainian people in the face of enormous odds,’ said Tom Fletcher, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, who has just returned from visiting affected communities in Ukraine. ’The humanitarian response must be focused on these communities, who need our help and solidarity more than ever. And we now need the international community to provide robust support for these plans so that we can demonstrate the same resilience as the people of Ukraine.’
