A course on training after amputation has appeared on Diya.Education

A new educational series dedicated to adaptive training for people after amputation has been launched on the Diya.Education platform. The course consists of eight short series and is designed to help military personnel and civilians safely begin their recovery at home, and their loved ones to properly support this process.

Each episode features exercises adapted to different types of amputations, safety tips, explanations of common mistakes, and ways to track progress. The authors emphasise that no special equipment is needed for the exercises — basic household items are sufficient.

The series covers topics such as starting home training, exercise sequences, load selection, and the role of motivation and support from family and friends. The programme is useful both for those who are just starting their rehabilitation journey and for people who already have some training experience.

The course was created by the Games of Heroes team in collaboration with more than 15 specialists in the field, including adaptive trainers, physical therapists, and psychologists. The lecturer was Yulia Koval, a certified trainer and head coach at Games of Heroes. The exercises were demonstrated by veteran mentors with their own rehabilitation experience.

The educational series is available free of charge on the Diya.Osvita platform.
