The aid is intended for those evacuated from the Donetsk region, in particular from the Pokrovsk direction and communities including Dobropillia, Bilozerska, Novodonetsk, Kryvyi Rih, Druzhkivka, Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk and Lyman. An average of 100 to 120 people leave the area every day.
The Lozivskyi centre operates as an additional site to the overloaded Pavlohrad centre. Volunteers from the Lozivskyi city district and Kharkiv regional organisations of the Ukrainian Red Cross are on duty here. In addition, there is a rapid response team that provides transportation and humanitarian aid when needed.
The Ukrainian Red Cross is currently the only humanitarian organisation that provides cash payments directly at evacuation sites. For many people, this is their first financial support after being forced to leave their homes.
The project is being implemented with the support of the Danish Red Cross.
