As of the morning of 4 August, another escalation of the situation has been recorded in the Donetsk region: over the past day, Russian troops have carried out 11 shellings of settlements in the region. There are dead, wounded and significant damage to civilian infrastructure.

In the Pokrovsk district, the town of Dobropillia was the most affected — one person was killed and two others were wounded. Four apartment buildings, three private houses and an administrative building were damaged. In Rubizhne, one person was wounded and six private houses were destroyed. In Pokrovsk, one person was wounded and a house was damaged as a result of shelling. In the town of Rodynske, damage to a house was recorded.
In the Kramatorsk district, in Lyman, one person was wounded, three private houses and a farm building were damaged. In Kostyantynivka, one person was killed and a high-rise building was damaged as a result of the attack.
In the Bakhmut district, in the town of Siversk, three private houses were damaged by shelling.
During the day, 653 people, including 23 children, were evacuated from the frontline areas of Donetsk region. The evacuation continues daily due to the threat of further attacks.
