In Donetsk region, during the evacuation of residents of Pokrovsk and Rodynske, the crew of the ‘White Angel’ police unit came under enemy air attack. Under fire from Russian drones, the police and volunteers managed to evacuate two wounded people and several other community residents.
According to the Donetsk region police, the evacuation took place under constant threat. During another attack, the evacuation team was forced to abandon their vehicle and seek shelter on the ground. Despite the danger, they managed to rescue a family from Pokrovsk who had recently come under fire: shells hit a residential area, killing two people, while another girl survived by a miracle.

‘The shell hit us, and a little earlier — three houses away. Two people were killed, one girl miraculously survived. A fire broke out, and people simply burned to death,’ recalls the rescued resident with tears in her eyes.
Two other families who were able to use their own cars also left the danger zone with police transport.
